On our second day of the URARA trip we journeyed into Salt Creek Canyon to see more remarkable country and experience some outstanding Barrier Canyon Style and ‘Canyonlands Anasazi’ rock art. We had one of the most memorable days of our trip.

Near Peekaboo Springs several shield figures greeted us on the trail, as did some of the most exceptional handprints we have encountered. We greatly enjoyed the Flying Carpet Panel even though the harsh afternoon light conditions made photographing the panel difficult. Several of our group explored the other side of the canyon and discovered a smaller rock art site that added to the experience. We greatly appreciate the assistance of Barbara Green, who organized the field trip, and Troy Scotter who lead the trek. Great day; Great work; Great people; Great rainbows!
