The Plumed Serpent in the Hamblin Wash area near Willow Springs was the first site we visited on the Navajo Reservation. While searching the rocks we also found a remarkable historic site.

Our last site was “Tutuveni” (Hopi for petroglyph). It is known as a Hopi Clan site. These glyphs are primarily “Clan symbols” of the Hopi people. The site has some 2, 000 glyphs representing 40 Clans that mark the participation of these Clans in salt gathering trips into the Grand Canyon.
