We decided to return to one of our favorite museums to give Sharon’s foot some time to heal, and because it might be the last time we get to see this wonderful place. We had heard from friends that the State was suffering from monetary problems and had discussed closing the museum with staff.

We enjoyed seeing the new children’s learning center as well as discovering new acquisitions including an ancient clay pipe and a new wall mural of rock art imagery of the Four Corners area. The museum’s exceptional artifacts are well curated and can’t be seen anywhere else in this area. Utah will be poorer should the muesum close.
