Todd and I traveled down to LA for a quick before you blink and it is over trip to visit our precious Malanna. She was playing a home game where the juniors were honoring the seniors with a ceremony with flowers, signs and then after the game a pasta dinner and powerpoint slide show.
It was so fun seeing Malanna interacting (what a goof ball) with her friends. She was the team's Captain and so very well liked and will be missed by all when she graduates in June. Todd and I got to visit with her aunt Lura who it was great getting to know better. I just adore this woman.
After the reception I took Lura, Malanna and Todd out to dinner. Malanna was as at ease and mature with us as she was fun and silly with her piers and it was nice having some three on one time with her. We then went back to Barbara's for a late night movie and bed before catching the early red eye this morning back to the Bay Area.
