Todd and I went to Malanna's Sweet Sixteenth Birthday this past weekend. We had a large, a very large family and friends dinner for Malanna and family on Friday evening.
Todd and I drove down after work on Thursday and got into Barbara's Casa at 1:30 AM. Of course Barbara and I chatted until 3AM. We then woke and prepped and cooked for 10 straight hours.
Todd and I nearly filled our car with pots and pans, two coolers and bags and bags of groceries and spices.
When the three of us set out for the party around 4:30 PM we were exhausted. But the party lifted our energy immediately when we saw how nice Mikko had prepared from her end.
We had a video of Malanna's Life and I and two of her cousins gave toasts that were will received. Gloria is not doing well and stayed in her room holding court to a number of us that would go up and pay our respects. Barbara, I have now coined Buda Barbara was on her bed the full time cracking everyone up with her stories.
Saturday Todd left with a Barbie doll cake and two others I baked to her main event, which was having a dancing party, DJ and Photo booth with her friends. A great time was had by all!
