Marlo volunteered her Oma to participate in her classroom's celebration of Halloween the night before the event. So I hustled to make sugar skulls with her and only hoped they would dry in time for my next morning's appearance. All went well and I enjoyed meeting her teacher and classmates.
After decorating the skulls the kids had a classroom buffet of treats and then changed into costumes getting ready for the school's parade. We found that Marlo's costume was perhaps one of the most creative ones made but it had a built in hinderance of her trying to balance the upside down lampshade structure it was made from.
