Barbara Lee and Tracy invited us to go to Lodi to a special wildlife refuse wetlands to see the flight of the Sand Cranes.
I ordered a fancy extension lens for my camera and it arrived just barely on time but was the wrong size. So I was not able to get up as close to shoot these magnificent birds as I might have liked.
We had perfect weather except no picturesque clouds for photography. So many of these photos are blurred for lack of light through a zoom lens but they give an impressionistic view of the skyway activity nevertheless. What I really wish was that you could of heard the beautiful sounds of these and other birds all gathering together to create quite a melody of sight and sound.
