Red Tank Draw is south of Flagstaff. While the country in this area doesn’t look challenging, the short hike through the draw was fraught with a good deal of boulder hopping in Beaver Creek and tough navigation due to the stream erosion in the creek. The V Bar V site was not far from Red Tank Draw. After a short hike from the entrance, there are two large panels enclosed by a large wire cage to prevent vandalism. Not what we envisioned instead of the hike along the creek, but some good glyphs nonetheless. Oak Creek Canyon originates north of Sedona as a river gorge located along the Mogollon Rim. It’s very scenic and very popular by the time it reaches Sedona.
