We traveled north to the lands on the Navajo Reservation to see rock art and habitation sites made by Ancestral Puebloans called the Sinaqua Indians who lived in this land around 1100 A.D. Wupatki Ruin is a National Monument that has 104 rooms, some of which are in good condition considering the age of the pueblo. This site was abandoned around 1225.

Wukoki Ruin is also part of the Wupatki National Monument. This well-crafted and well preserved ruin is this hauntingly beautiful. It was built by same people that built Wupatki that are believed to be the ancestors of the Hopi Indians.
