We left Berkeley during the middle of September heading for southwest New Mexico and then Texas to rendezvous with our friend Glen Omundson. We were pleased to be able to renew our friendship and see some of the Southwest that was virgin territory for us but home turf for Glen.
We traveled south through California’s Central Valley and across the Mojave Desert to Barstow. That evening we ventured onto a portion of Route 66 and revisited a 1950’s dinner. We even managed to discover a few dinosaurs in the failing light.
