We left Moab in the early morning to begin the trip south to Holbrook Arizona and the Petrified Forest National Park, with some important stops along the way. We drove south for several hours to Indian Creek near Canyon Lands National Park. We hoped the weather would permit us to continue our annual exploration for petroglyphs that are scattered along the bluffs near the creek. We revisited an excellent site we enjoyed last year. We made three more hikes up the talus slopes to see sites when the storm that was threatening to terminate our glyph hunting did exactly that. The clouds greeted us with wind-blown snow that sent us scrambling for the car and over the mountains on snow covered roads to Bluff.
