On our way to Kanab to attend the annual Utah Rock Art Research Association’s Symposium, we ascended the mountains south of Zion National Park and found the Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park. Seeing impressive sand dunes bordered by pine trees was visually stunning. That evening we found our cherished friend Nina Bowen in Kanab and made plans with her and friends to see petroglyph sites the next day.
