The work at Ashley Creek is very captivating and pretty much speaks for itself in terms of content and execution of the glyphs. In a number of panels are what appear to be large pecked abstract faces. Often, such abstract faces originally included pigment that unified the faces. This kind of augmentation could also include mud dabbed ornamentation, feathers or other accessories that washed or faded way long ago. When we visited the site at McConkie Ranch following this trip some of this pigment still remained on similar images.
