We headed toward Emery and took the Miller Canyon Road hoping to find some raptors along the way. We came across a rock that has some faint petroglyphs as well as historic signatures, and a cowboy glyph.

Not finding the eagles, we detoured into Emery to check out some of the ancient dwellings. We returned to Rochester Creek in search of the pictographs once again and found them. In the afternoon we enjoyed meeting up with Sid and Sherrie Swasey for lunch in Ferron and renewing our friendship. Later that afternoon we headed to a little known reservoir to do some wildlife photography and got quite a surprise, since the pond we have visited many times before was nearly dry.

As we traveled along Highway 10 we were under constant assault from the coal trucks, which are ever present day and night.
