We woke up to beautiful icicles formed from the irrigation system watering the field all night. Given the cold weather, we decided to chase icicles near the towns of Loa and Fremont.

From there we headed up the mountains wanting to catch up with the fall colors in the high country and head to Mill Valley and Johnson’s Valley Reservoirs. It was quite cozy being bundled up in the car going through flaming tree colors with the gray clouds providing snow flurries that stayed on the mountain peaks close by.

Upon our return, John tried fishing a tributary to the Fremont River but it was too cold and windy for comfort and success. Sharon did much better with photos of several raptors that were hunting for food.
