Gary Beveningham joined us and led the way into one of the most remarkable panels that we visited. It’s located along the Little Colorado River. The panel’s dominant female figure can be found at several other sites in the park where she is often surrounded by animals, hunters and phallic symbols of fertility. Because of this, the figure is believed to represent a spiritual ‘Mother’ that provides game. In exploring the surrounding area, Nina managed to find a rare water glyph

and we all were pleased with finding more glyphs.
