We left Bluff and headed into Arizona to Canyon de Chelly hoping the good weather would hold for our hike down into the canyon to White House Ruin. We parked at the pullout on top of the canyon and hiked an excellent trail to the site. After crossing the dry creek, we found several Navajo Indians displaying pottery and jewelry just prior to ruin. Unfortunately, we also found a massive fence in placed far from the ruin making photography difficult and preventing reasonably close viewing. Nonetheless, this is a special site well worth the hike in a very scenic and captivating canyon.
